You are feeling the itch again. It is so persistent it hinders you from doing anything without scratching your groin and upper thighs. While taking an exam, playing basketball, or in the middle of a dinner date, you can’t stop thinking about it. The annoying part is that no matter how much you try, you can't help scratching it. This is most likely jock itch. There are easy ways to treat it and say goodbye to the annoying itch.

Jock itch is very easy to diagnose and treat. It usually responds to self-care. Over-the-counter antifungal sprays, powder and creams can usually solve the problem.

The most common way of dealing with jock itch is with an antifungal cream. Although it is very easy to apply, there are a number of things you have to bear in mind when treating it. First, wash the affected area or take a shower. With a clean towel, dry the affected area. When it's completely dry, apply the antifungal cream or powder. Be sure to read the label carefully before you apply. From now on, improve your hygiene. Change your clothes, especially your underwear, every day.

Usually, the treatment lasts for two weeks. Even if the symptoms disappear completely before the period ends, you should continue applying the antifungal cream to prevent the infection from recurring.

If after two weeks and you don't see any change in the condition of the affected area, it is best to consult a doctor and use prescribed medication.
